Medical care for members of Orchard Health Care is provided by Dr. Kanner or Dr. Isselbacher through their practice, Steven R. Kanner, MD, LLC.
Office visits and other clinical care by Dr. Kanner and Dr. Isselbacher are charged to the member’s health insurance by the practice, Steven R. Kanner, MD, LLC, in the same fashion as in standard medical practices.
Similarly, co-payments, insurance deductibles, noncovered clinical services and other clinical charges determined as the member’s responsibility by the health insurer are billed to the member by Steven R. Kanner, MD, LLC.
Dr. Kanner and Dr. Isselbacher accept most health insurance, including Medicare. As members of the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center physicians’ network, Dr. Kanner and Dr. Isselbacher participate (with one or two exceptions) in the same insurance networks as Beth Israel.
Membership fees paid by the member to Orchard Health Care, LLC are solely for the member benefits that are provided, or arranged to be provided, by Orchard Health Care. The membership fee does not cover or pay for any of the clinical care provided by Dr. Kanner or Dr. Isselbacher or their practice, Steven R. Kanner, MD, LLC, or any items or services covered by the member’s health plan.
